Corey Broadway – Senior Manager, Event Operations

Corey Broadway joined the Houston Marathon Committee in November of 2018. As the Manager of Volunteer & Event Services, he is responsible for overseeing the recruitment of volunteers for the more than 7,500 volunteer positions that go into making the Houston Marathon Race Weekend of events a successful operation. He also focuses on the Sustainability program for event operations.

Before joining the HMC, he worked as a senior district executive for the Sam Houston Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, for three and a half years where he was responsible for the management, recruitment, and training of several hundred volunteers. He was also responsible for working with volunteers to plan various program activities, fundraising, and the recruitment of new youth members. Corey is a native to the Houston area and went off to College Station where he graduated from Texas A&M University, class of 2013. While enrolled at Texas A&M, Broadway was also a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. Corey has completed one half marathon and several other road and obstacle races.
