Amanda Sandoval – Senior Director, Participant Services
Amanda Sandoval is responsible for participant services, including registration, packet pick-up, technology and results. She also manages the legacy program and accommodations for the event.
Amanda Sandoval joined the Houston Marathon Committee in August of 2009 and is Senior Director of Participant Services, where she currently leads the participant services department on a day-to-day basis. The participant services department is primarily responsible for office administration, the charity program, EXPO & packet pick-up, pace team, legacy program, HOOPLA, RunFest and more! In addition, she is responsible for race day results, technology, accommodations and insurance for the organization.
Before arriving at the HMC, Sandoval worked as the Operations Manager for CASA of Central Texas where she assisted in coordinating volunteer programs, fundraising and special events. She was also responsible for grant allocations and acquisitions to donors and funding programs.
Sandoval graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications in 2004. She then earned her MBA from Texas State University – San Marcos in 2008. Sandoval has completed various road race distances and is active in her Camp Gladiator endeavors.
